Apply between shoulder blades

May 07, 2008

Okay, okay...now that I have regained some of my composure, I can let you all know that there seems to be no residual effects from THE TICK! and I should be just fine.

I completely admit that I overreacted, but HELLO!  There was a LIVE BUG STUCK TO MY HEAD and in no world where I live will I ever be fine with that.  Ever!

I’ve never had a tick on me before, at least to my knowledge.  A few weeks ago we found one on Dewey which was pretty easy to remove and we then started him on Frontline and haven’t seen anything since.  I wonder if they make some sort of Frontline for human beings because that might just come in handy here in the country.  If all else fails, my neighbors are going to be seeing me sporting this bad boy while gardening and I won’t even care.

You're it: ticks, gardening

Uck. I don’t blame you for freaking out.

A tick adhered to *my child* last year at my mother’s house - I screamed like a little girl and made my mommy remove it.  My excuse is that she’s a nurse and I probably could have kept my sh*t together had a professional not been right there.

Growing up in northern minnesota, where the only thing to do was build forts and play in nature ... hunting for ticks on my body and scalp was a nightly ritual in the summer! LOL This really brings me back.  Yeah ... EW!!!!  BUGS!!!!

(Thanks baby jesus I live in a virtually bug-free state.)

PS email me so I can send you an invite to answerjam, woman.  :D

These Litter Chests are such a neat idea.  We’ve been trying to come up with a plan for the litter box in our new house and this seems like it would be a perfect fit.  Discreet, yet it does the job perfectly.  We’ll be adding this to our list of things to get for the new house.
